DAY 9: PRAYER FOCUS

BELIEVING FOR MY NATION

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 (NIV)

Yesterday, our prayer focus was believing God for our families. David believed God for his immediate family and the larger family (Israel). Why do I say this? The bible said he kept asking the soldiers what will be done for the one who is able to kill Goliath. And they said “his family will be exempted from taxes” aside getting great wealth and marrying the King’s daughter. David’s second believe was for Israel’s reproach of defilement by Goliath. These two desires of David were meet when he killed Goliath.

Today, we focus on “Believing for my Nation”. In Jeremiah 29:7 we read “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” Our focused home is heaven but, on this earth, wherever you live becomes the kingdom or nation God has given to you. Pray for it’s peace and prosperity as we are being told. Whether you like the leadership of that nation or not, St. Paul invites us to pray and offer thanksgiving to God for them. This year, we are praying that government policies and programs will favor many immigrants. I prophecy that many policies in the nation which does not favor immigrants will be lifted, doors of opportunity that were closed will be opened in Jesus’ Christ name.

Beloved is it not surprising that many companies will be pushing advertisement for job openings, but when you apply someone or a system replies that because you do not have proof of ‘language’ competence or a professional certification you cannot be given the job. Meanwhile these positions need to be filled. The last time I checked the country in which I live said it needed 288,000 jobs filled till 2028 for their economy to be stabilized. Meanwhile we have systems, policies and individuals being a hindrance. These are the reason why you need to pray for the nation and those in authority.

Therefore, I encourage you today to believe God for lifting of bondages and barriers against the nation and those in authority that God will send his mighty angels to break through uncommon grounds for you. I prophecy that there will be lifting of barriers for that job or documentation you have been seeking. Our God will raise up a standard against all those policies and programs with the nation to favor his chosen people who are seeking his face in this 21-days prayer and fasting.
