15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” 16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. 18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.” 19 (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.”
John 21:15–19 (ESV)
God gave you a promise or showed you a vision of where He is taking you or that business. However, as you listen to me now things are not very clear and you are even much more confused and doubt if God actually revealed these things to you. You are going through health challenges which the doctors can’t seem to give you any better feedback. Your family seem to be going through difficult situations, your business seems to be fall apart, and you are not even sure what to do. Your finance seems to be in shambles. Everything seems so confusing and worrying. Brethren, today I bring you God’s reassuring words that, it is okay to feel the way you feel, however, do not lose your love for Jesus. In today’s reading, Peter and the other disciples were equally confused and still processing in the minds what to do then after Jesus was crucified. They went back fishing, and that is where they met the Lord again.
Do not feel like a failure because of the challenges you are going through. We all go through it many times; however, we do not remain on that level of discouragement for long. We go back into scriptures to encourage ourselves in the Lord. In today’s message from Pastor Jentezen Franklin, he says that some of us carry generational faith seed in our genes (that is, in our DNA), and the devil is afraid of such people so will continue to attack you till you give up. But brethren, if only you will hold on to God and stand strong, you will see His victory. God throws us an invitation without explanations, if only you will cling your ear to His voice you will hear and do as He tell you. Let us listen to today’s inspirational message from Pastor Franklin.
Shalom and Peace to you.
