FASTING AND PRAYERS, BREAK CYCLES IN LIFE
Mark 11:2
In today’s sermon, Pastor Franklin tells us how sometimes God will send you into a place or circumstances where it feels like everything is against you. I believe you can relate with various situations in your life when you felt or feel like giving up. Times when problems flap you in the face, back-to-back. In those moments, you may not feel or see God in the fiery trial of your life, but if God has allowed it, there are always blessings to be found in it. And others will see Jesus because of what you go through and come out victorious. Sometimes you might be tempted to think that God is not with you or has forgotten about you. But remember Romans 8:28; “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose”.
There is another sermon of Pastor Franklin where he said that, when your challenges are bigger and seem unending, it means the grace and anointing on your life is greater. There is a higher call on your life. Consider Joseph, who encountered one problem after another, but became Prime Minister of Egypt. Consider Job, who lost every property including his children and himself to illness. We might say what a tragedy, but Job said, “Though He slays me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him” (Job 13:15). In the end, he earned a double portion of everything he lost. Consider also David, who was anointed to be King when he was a teenager, but kept running for his life from King Saul for almost 10 to 13 years. But in all the trails David faced, he trusted in God and believed that God was with him. He became the greatest King Israel ever had.
As we continue with our fasting this week, let us pray bold prayers and ask God to give us courage and great grace to withstand any challenges we are currently going through or will face during the year. Fix your eyes on King Jesus and not the problems. Let us listen to Pastor Franklin.
Shalom and Peace to you.
