WEEK 2

BELIEVING GOD AND HIS WORD

And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”

(1 Samuel 17:33)

Our fasting is not meant to manipulate God to answer our list of requests, but to ask him ‘Lord show us your way in 2025’, as we submit to him. I don’t know how long you have been in this country or where you are or how long you have been searching for that dream job or wanting to start your own business. All I know is that, it doesn’t matter the number of years, we are going to believe God for a different story this time around. Isaiah 43:18-19, God tell us “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing…”. King Saul for fear of David’s life wanted to prevent the boy from pursuing what the spirit of God was directing him to do. Sometimes when people can’t move forward because they have either not tried or tried and failed, they loose hope and what they turn to do is discourage others from also trying. We call it “the crab syndrome”.

In Numbers 13 and 14, it was because of the unbelief of the Israelite to go up and take possession of what God had promised them that caused them 40 years in the wilderness. And they all perished, except two (Joshua and Caleb). However, a new generation obeyed and possessed it. We need a fresh oil or spiritual anointing for a new year, a clean board or slate for God to change our destiny. We will pray the Jabez kind of prayer “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested.” (1 Chronicles 4:10) We shall be called possesses of what God has promised his children.

A little inquiry I have done confirmed that, there is no African in this country who owes a business that employs more that even five (5) people. Meanwhile we have Africans who can confidently boast that they have been here more than 10 to 40 years. Check or look around, you will find our brothers of the other religion between 28 to 40 who own and run business in this country and across Europe. Who is God’s chosen people? “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you.” (1 Peter 2:9) Do you think it pleases God that you don’t believe he can do more than enough for you? I came to this land to tell you to start believing God for greater things in 2025 and beyond. Some of you are going to start businesses and employ people, others who have been applying for years will get their desired jobs. God is going to turn this cycle around for those who believe. In Isaiah 43:13, He says “Indeed before the day was, I am He; and there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?”

One thing I know for sure is that, if we don’t start believe for ourselves and our children, the cycle will continue. Our children will be born and raised in this land, but they will continue to labor for others. But if we start believing God and prophesying and start praying big prayers, God will turn things around. God says “They (my children) shall not labor in vain, Nor bring forth children for trouble; For they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the LORD, And their offspring with them”. (Isaiah 65:23)

This week are going to reflect on things we did not trust or believe God could handle for us, ask Him to show us mercy and begin to once again present him with those requests with strong believe. In Psalm 81:10 God says “I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it”. Believe God for bigger things and see if he will not answer. Amen.
